1. You open the door to the pool and get that first whiff of chlorine and think to yourself, "I love the smell of chlorine in the morning!"
2. Your new issue of Swimmer Magazine arrives :bliss: and you immediately sit down and read it cover to cover (including the ads!). But, then, the realization sets in that now you have to wait two months until the NEXT issue arrives.
3. You find yourself counting strokes instead of sheep to fall asleep at night. Then, just when you're about to fall asleep, instead of your leg twitching a little bit, it does a full whip kick :afraid:, and you ride the glide to slumberland... :bed:

You never know what's going to happen when you start a thread on the USMS forums- and who is going to find it. Broadcast journalist, Lynn Sherr, who I used to watch on ABC's news show, "20/20", found this thread and contacted me. She is a USMS swimming enthusiast and just completed writing her first book about the sport, "SWIM: Why We Love the Water".
While writing her book, she wanted to know if she could use some of the Top Ten "You Know You're Hooked on Swimming When..." from this thread. And, she asked if I thought the other contributers wouldn't mind being contacted, as well.
We have kept in touch since then and now I am pleased to pass the word on that her book will be coming out on April 3. (But, my copy is on the way now! :applaud: )
