Can anyone recommend a good heart rate monitor for swimming? I like my basic Polar F6 but the regular chest strap just doesn't stay on good while swimming. The chest strap slides to my waist after a few hundred yards --- especially when coming out of turns. I've also shorted the strap by resewing but it still doesn't seem to want to hold.

Thanks For tri training, we basically sew other pieces to the usual strap so that it stays. The end result looks a little bit like a bra though. That's why very little even bother wearing an HR monitor on the swim. Fair guessing HR is good enough for Trimp calculations.
See if you can find a cheap full body suit. A stretched out B70 doesn't have much value to most people now, but you could use it to keep your HR monitor strap from slipping.
