First day went well. We had some rain and cool breezes so the temperature was great for swimming today. Looking forward to more fun with everyone this week. Donna, your 1500 time is #10 this year so far!!! :)

Thanks, and we'll miss you, Jeff! Looking forward to SCY season and all of the meets coming up. You going to PTC? I'm thinking of doing a PTC Pentathlon/Duluth Fall Festival 5K (run) double that weekend. Good job today Kristin! You and Donna did great! My next meet "might" be the one in Asheville in mid-Sept. Thought it might be fun to go up there for a weekend possibly. If not I'll stick around for the Dynamo Pentathlon sometime in Sept. I've aggrevated an ankle injury from last year somehow and having a hard time doing anything out of the pool. Its okay in the pool (except ***, which who cares?! :) ) but stiffens up walking or running. I gotta get back to some consistent training....I'm back at SCY again too.
  • The swimmers are arriving in San Juan! The pool was open today for warmups and check-in. The Forumites here include Allen Stark, Rich Abrahams, Jim Clemmons, Muppet, SwimmieAvsFan, and The Wookiee. Everyone seems to love the open-air pool. There's always a breeze through the venue, but the roof keeps the sun off the spectator seating. Part of the roof over the pool has skylights, which helps keep an "outdoor" feel. We are staying at the Marriott Courtyard on the beach. The view from our window is AWESOME. I will post a photo when I get a chance to take one! Anna Lea Thanks for posting, Anna Lea! I sure wish I could be there, too! Please keep the posts coming; it will be a fun week keeping an eye on all of you from my computer. Good luck to the Forumites :cheerleader: and please say hi to Jim and Allen for me!
