On a separate note, I always thought that in order to win an individual national championship I'd have to live to be 95+ while swimming the 200 fly.
I might luck out before then:
Event 40 Men 35-39 200 LC Meter Butterfly
==================================================================
NATL: N 2:06.74 6/28/1996 JEFF STUART
WORLD: W 2:06.74 6/27/1996 JEFF STUART, USA
Name Age Team Seed Finals
==================================================================
-- Tujo, Christian F 39 OREG 2:48.00 NS
I thought that too, but you just never know - I lucked out on an 800 SCM free in 2004 and came 1st of 3 entrants in my age group - it was the last event of the meet, and not my best event. I'll not be a national champ again any time soon though.
Well done to all that swam. I'm considering joining you next year, depending on $$, timetable, oh and how much swimming I get in between now & then....we'll see....
