Wow, Phelps is not swimming the 200 Free?
And is entered with a 50.67 seed in the 100 Free? LOL, 2 hundredths slower than his 100 Fly seed.
And is in the 400 IM????? :notworthy: Hmm, I wonder how he got to the decision to swim that again.
Times are pretty fast for the heats...
Interesting that the Americans are still racing each other trying to make the final.
Only 2 from each country can swim the A final.
The good and the bad news...
Dana Vollmer - 3rd place overall in the 200 free but can't swim the final since 1-3 were Americans.
Some great swims tonight, but I really loved seeing Kate Zeigler's win and the 1-2 with Chloe Sutton in the 800. Wonderfully executed swim.
Definitely. I had pretty much written Ziegler off. It's great to see her back!
I guess that means Peirsol is out of finals for the 100 back since he was fourth, but third among U.S. swimmers.Lochte bailed and will just swim the 200. Although AP did already effectively qualify for Worlds since nobody beat his 2nd place time from Nationals and only swims in the finals factor towards qualification.
When did Tunisia become part of the Pan-Pacific region? Don't get me wrong, it's cool to see Ous Mellouli in the 1500 as the race tonight has the most of the best 1500 guys in the world, but kind of odd to have Tunisia there. Is Pan Pacs 'open' to other countries not in the region?
I'm hoping I can catch this race online tonight 'cause they surely won't show it on NBC this weekend and Arizona seems to be a market that Universal Sports forgot to include.
