2010 CONOCO PHILLIPS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships will be held at the
William Woollett Aquatic Center at
4601 Walnut Ave. Irvine, CA 92604
from
August 3rd to August 7th.
The event will also serve as trials for numerous events including the
2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacifc Championships to be held in Irvine later in August. Come watch the top swimmers from across the nation rip up the water under the bright California sun. Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, Katie Hoff and new American talent will all be battling it out for a spot on the international stage. The competition will once again be televised nationally by NBC.

Amanda Beard through to the A final of the 100 *** in a respectable 1:08.7. How old is her baby now?
It is pretty fascinating how breaststrokers would burn out by 16, ie Anita Nall. Now, the A final is littered with women in their very late 20s. :applaud:
Of course, Amanda Beard was able to overcome burnout and put out a great performance in Athens 2004.
Tough break for Josh Schneider in the 50 free. But, USA Swimming apparently don't play. You don't scratch and you are done for your next event, word. Always get your butt to the officials desk and scratch the event you don't want to swim.

Phelps pulls away in the 200 fly. he makes it look so easy !
Too bad for Hoff, but Vollmer and Schmidt? have been on a tear for the last year in this event. Hopefully, Hoff will be a good addition to the relay. Also, you can't be perfect everyday.
Tough break for Clary in the 200 fly, but I think that his 400 IM wore him out. Shake it off and get in there for the 200 IM. Oh, wait Phelps is doing it?
