It's got to feel weird being Michael Phelps rolling into a swim meet like this. The guy is a 25 year old multi-millionaire, up against a field of primarily college guys 3-4 years younger then him hoping to make a name for themselves. The fact that he is still putting in the time and effort to train for another Olympic run is impressive in and of itself.
How is this really different from any other pro sport, where the greatest players make millions upon millions more than the rookies?
