CUTS
So, Phelps made finals in the 200 free by just 0.6 seconds. Do y'all think he really knows within a few tenths how fast he is swimming, or did he get a little lucky? I always had to go all out in prelims to make finals (or consoles, or neither), so I don't know how those guys can game the system like that, no matter how much better they are than the rest of the field.....I don't know if a National Championship is his goal, but I assume he wants to qualify for Pan Pacs- he can qualify regardless of which final he is in. I think barely making A-final was chance (he did the same thing at the Charlotte Ultraswim).
