The simplest of facts are that: a) we (USMS) don't have any say about the general rule that was passed by FINA, and b) the rule will exist until at least 2013. No number of studies, boycotts or other social actions will change it. It is also unlikely that, no matter how poetic or outraged posters get on this forum, FINA will notice.
Now, how about some old fashioned advice from one to another about backstroke breakouts or butterfly timing?
I take this as another "shut up," which I will happily ignore if I choose.
