OK so now that the SCY season is over and the tech suits got their Viking funeral, it is time to embrace the metric system and wear FINA-barcoded swimsuits! :bliss:
Is anyone else going to the Tualatin Hills meet? I will be driving down and back the same day.

I entered the 100 fly, 50 *** (lulz), 200 IM, 50 fly, and 200 fly. Any gridges out there? Is Allen going to lap me in the 50 LCM breaststroke??? :anim_coffee:
Shannon and I will both swim the meet. Lots of events in a single day, usually a fairly pedestrian meet - with the exception of Dave Radcliff. The Gil Young meet in early August at Mt Hood will be a nice alternative to Puerto Rico.
Oh great, more people who can lap me in the 50 *** :)
I swam in the T-Hills meet last year. I would have to say though that it wasn't very pedestrian - there was a near-drowning! When it happened, I was putting on my cap and goggles before my 100 back heat, looking downward, and I did not notice what was happening. Then while my brain was still focused on the 100 back, they announced that we all had to clear the pool deck so the EMT's could get in unobstructed, and I had no idea why. Eventually I grasped the events transpiring around me, and thankfully the elderly woman who almost drowned was fine. That combined with David Radcliff's multiple world records made for an interesting day.
I will keep an eye out for the Gil Young meet in August; it's not on the Oregon web site's calendar yet. I am planning to taper and shave for NW LCM Zones in July (I already entered online: 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 back, 100 back, 200 ***, 200 fly) but having another meet in August could give me the chance to swim some other events, like the 50 back, 100 ***, or maybe one of those crazy freestyle events :afraid:
