Joe SKuba's 0.11 is even more impressive! Skuba will go down in history as the first swimmer to hit Mach 1.2
  • Scheren swam a 19.69 in his individual race so I'd say either the splits are correct and they swam in a different order than listed (i.e. Scheren actually anchored), or the splits are slightly messed up since it says Scheren split a 21.15 in the relay. I'd have to go with the second scenario.

Another reason why FINA should not have outlawed body suits. Without one, poor Mr. Skuba's skin will surely ignite from friction and suffer severe burns, even despite the water's cooling effects. I daresay those swimming in adjacent lanes might be consumed, too, by the lake of fire effect he will cause. :) excellent

If the final time posted is correct, then the four from Auburn masters averaged a little over 20 on that relay. I've been looking over splits on various relays, and a few seem to be a little off. My guess is one of the guys actually went a high 19, and two others went low 20's rather than low 21s as posted. I sent the Auburn masters coach an email. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

I'd have to go with the second scenario. I talked to Richie Hughey today, he said the splits were messed up. The final time is good though.

The even heat side of the pools had plenty of timing/computer issues as you see in the results. There were delays in the meet as well yesterday due to it.
