Brian, There's a video? Got a link? Rich I hope there is, but I just watched it from the stands yesterday.
  • Stud told me about that and I just about split my gut laughing!!! :laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2: Stud is always good for a laugh!
  • I beg to differ on the fried chicken. Those two or three (I lost count) lukewarm greasy pieces I inhaled after I swam the 200 back might have been the absolute best thing I ever ate. I certainly attacked them as if they were. Apologies to anyone who might inadvertently have been watching.
  • Speaking of hospitality, my apologies to anyone who I spilled ice water on down there. I was sitting right above and had ice in a bag, which had melted. I went to grab the bag and it tipped over and water ran down all the way to the hospitality below. Sorry to anyone below.
  • One of the best counters ever. And it ended with a great (subliminal) message from a Stud :) Gee, I wonder where he got that idea from. Perhaps Jeff Roddin at LCM zones a few years ago?!?!? Made me snort water up my nose and made for a very slow last 50 of my 800 free it was so funny!

tj- that happend to me in the 200 free in the even pool. I was in last heat of my age group in lane 10. Heard the take your mark and i was in my tuck, then started to think man starter is holding us long. I peeked up and saw all the swimmers half way down the pool. Threw my arms up in the air on the block like wtf!!! There was luckily a judge there who said he didnt hear anything. He talked to head judge and they threw me in some heat few heats later. I got to swim race but had no idea who i was swimming against or what they were seeded with. Of course, in the results, they show me as a NS. Ended up doing a 1:49 but feel woulda been few seconds faster if i didnt have to go thru that drama! Greg - if you can give me an idea of what heat and lane you actually swam in, we may be able to find your time and get it added to the results. Send me a PM. Anna Lea
  • Yes credit to Jeff for that... So, I'll be sure to thank Jeff when I see him next. Haines Point, maybe?
  • Had a friend there that was supposed to swim the 50 FR...would have definitely competed for one of the top 3 spots in his age group... Even pool, lane 10... Take your marks....stand...take your marks...nothing!!! There were 2 or 3 empty lanes next to him going back toward the timer...everyone else took off and started swimming. Myself and about 5 or 6 other people stood there, never having heard a sound...He went over and talked to the starter...starter refused to let him swim in a open lane in any of the following heats. There was no official on that end of the pool for that start...so she could not verify...she was out of position. His son got kicked off the deck for arguing with the starter on behalf of his dad... Tracy, I'm sorry to hear that about your friend and the others that it happened to. Things like that shouldn't happen at Nationals! We train way too hard to have the race not happen or happen late due to a low beep sound and the officials not letting them re-swim. My dad timed Thur, Fri and Sun and they asked him to pull a double shift on Sunday. After three 4 hour shifts and cheering his lane the entire 500, he couldn't go on. For anyone who swam in the odd side, lane 1 for the women's 500 on Sun, that was my dad cheering you on :cheerleader: Well, except for my heat, then he was cheering my lane. :)
  • You had some counter for your 500 though...brought a smile to your face I bet.. hehehe One of the best counters ever. And it ended with a great (subliminal) message from a Stud :)
