I have to swim 200m freestyle in 2:50 or less in about two weeks. Anyone have any out-of-water workouts? I don't exactly have access to a pool when I want it, but I can run, and go to the gym.

I had a friend recently inquire the exact same thing. After we thought of all the options, all we came up with was the elliptical, low impact, high cardio. I'd suggest 3:30 repeats (2:50 work, :40 EZ) set on high climb, high resistance. If you can, alternate that with :30 on a nearby rowing machine that might help also.
2:50 isn't very fast, what's your 200 time right now?
