Total Shoulder Replacement

I am posting this message on behalf of a Masters swimmer named Sue Ice. She does not use the Forums, so if you can help her, please reply directly to her at: SueIce (at) cox (dot) net Her message: Anna Lea, I am trying to find out if any masters swimmers have had a total shoulder replacement and, if so, what the result was regarding function of the shoulder as related to swimming. I am facing this surgery in mid-May. What was originally scheduled as right shoulder rotator cuff repair surgery now is headed toward total shoulder replacement because the tears and degeneration are more severe than first diagnosed.
