I wish he swam the 100 IM. With a 54 in the 100 *** man would his 100 IM time been smoking. Has anyone ever recorded a 47 in the 100 IM? It is so rare that someone of Mania's calibur swims a 100 yard IM that I doubt anyone has ever been sub 48.

It's from a meet called the Texas Invite and was in Nov 2007. It has guys like Crocker, Hansen, Piersol doing an exhibition 100 IM. In the heat of 7 guys, three went 48s and 4 went 49s. Crocker "won" with 48.13 (his 50 turn was questionable and since the race was Exh anyway there was no DQ). So it looks like Gangloff's 48.27 may be the fastest recorded official time. But note that Neil Walker went 52.79 for 100 SCM IM, which is easily 47+ in my opinion.
