I was wondering people's opinions on the fastest suit that is currently legal by fina 2010 standards.
There's obviously the speedo lzr elite. But I heard that Auburn, Stanford, and Cal wore the Arena Powerskin R-evo at NCAAs this year. I don't think it's available in any stores in the US, but I did see a new one listed on eBay.
Was just looking for opinions before I make a purchase, thanks!

Whatever suit Mike Ross is wearing.
Hey
I think you need to ask what suit makes the most sense when you consider
1) 2010 FINA approved
2) performance
3) durability
4) fit and comfort &
4) price
I'm not yet convinced the newest suits are much better than a new pro or the B70 NeroTX when you consider the above factors. I hope to test several out.

Speedo LZR Elite Jammer & the Speedo Female LZR Elite Recordbreaker Knee
comparing my orginal FS Pro to the TYR C-series
they feel almost the same material wise, but the TYR suit is so much easier to put on even though it is one size smaller.
the 2010 TYR nearly cuts off the circulation to my legs it is so tight around the knee, more so than my Pro, but then again the TYR is one size smaller.
I think "fastest" is hard to gauge. That being said, I think the tech suit that fits you "best" is more important. I have a LZR fullbody, 2 FS Pro Fullbodies, and a B70 Nero. Of those my favorite is eithe the B70 or FS Pro. The LZR cuts the crap out of my shoulders (straps).
