"Life is always moving.
Stand up and rise above the rest with passion in your arms and fire in your heart.
Dare to dream, dream high, dream ahead."
-Rohit Sapra
I tried your goggle trick with the 2 caps at my first meet, last month, and it worked great! My goggles didn't budge. One guy DIDN'T wear a cap, flooded his goggles, and had to roll over to fix them, right in the middle of his race. Too bad, because he looked like a good, strong swimmer, otherwise. He should have read your tips!
Concerning two caps, what is the tip? I have goggle trouble.
Sorry about that; I should have elaborated for the benefit of those who missed Ande's tip!
Ande recommends wearing a second cap OVER the goggles, so the strap is secure and won't slip. In addition, he recommends pulling the cap down over the top of the goggles, if the goggles aren't a streamlined racing model.
During the start, it is also important to tuck your chin and keep your arms tight against your ears when you enter the water.
After starting a forum thread soliciting advice for my goggles, I received a lot of great advice, put it to use at my first Masters meet, and had no problems at all! :agree:
