In My Best Season Ever is one of the one of the most motivating things Eddie Reese ever said to me.
“Ande, I can’t let you back on the (UT Swim) team in the fall,
if you don’t make Nationals this summer.”
That is a good motivator. Maybe Masters teams should have similar motivators. I know adult motivation comes from within, certainly mine, but outside influences still get in the head of us "grown ups".
I think this would be good. If you don't make a certain practice times your coach thinks you should, you can't wear the team's cap in meets.
