You, me and David Kays are all swimming the 200 fly. I'm pegging you as the early favorite because both David and I are doing the 200 free and there's only the 100 *** in between that and the fly! Not to mention you've swam the 200 fly about ten times already this season. :)

Only twice by my count :) I'm guessing with your no-quarter-asked-or-given event schedule, your shoulder must be feeling better...
Looking closely at the timeline, it appears that only the distance free events (500+) will use two pools. (That's what the entry form for this meet says every year, but it never seems to turn out that way - every year I've attended, every individual event has used 2 pools.) So you may get more rest than you're expecting between the 2 free and the 2 fly.
Remember last year they did the 400 IM and 1000 free on Friday night, and then everything else on Saturday, so they almost had to use two pools. This year I'm really hoping they stick to the two pools only for the distance events otherwise I'm definitely dead meat in the 200 fly! Timeline says about 25 minutes rest between, so it's not going to be a lot of rest, but hopefully enough so I don't drown. :drown:

Everything I've read says one pool for all events, but the distance events. You guys look tough in the 200 Fly. It looks like there will be plenty of time between events.
I hope I still look tough on the last 50 :D

I've seen your 200 fly, while anyone can go out too hard you have always looked better on your last 50 than I do on my 50(no I don't butterfrog a 50.)

Thanks Allen! Good luck in your Association meet this weekend. I see you're throwing down a 2fly as well: www.swimoregon.org/.../Assn_Docs.pdf

While I am swimming through this meet aiming for Nats, the 200 fly is the one I do want to get a good time in, as I am not swimming it at Nats. Here is a gridge for you, your 200 time vs my 150 split.

Interesting gridge. At '09 Nats, you hit the 150 at 2:02.66. My best Masters 200 fly is 2:04.56 from '07 Nats. You're not tapered (or so you say ) so you might be a bit slower than you were at Nats, though I'm sure you're still Powered By Jaked(TM). Maybe you'll hit the 150 in 2:04. I'm going to have good competition in my heat, so there's a good chance I'll be in "RARRRGH TG SMASH" mode for the last 50-75 yards... hmmmmm... I swam a good 200 at the Orca meet last month (2:08 unshaven), and finished strong when I did a 200 this morning in practice (2:18 from a push in a practice suit)... hmmmm.... OK gridge accepted! :chug:
