just wondering how crowded the meet is, how much time between each events. I'm also wondering how long the meet usually lasts. got a big drive the next day and need to get back to the in-laws fairly early, 5ish, on Sunday night.

It's not very crowded, given how large the facility is. There should be 2 pools running simultaneously for each individual event, so it goes pretty quickly. If you don't enter the distance free events (which are at the end of each session this year) then each day should be over at a reasonable hour for you.
