We were taking a painting out of its frame because the glass fronting had broken when we discovered a full copy of the Sunday Edition of the New York Journal American from July 16, 1939. I guess they'd used it to help the painting fit in the frame.
I've attached a .pdf of an article from that newspaper that I thought people might find interesting. It appears to be the second to last in a twenty-one part series by Johnny Weissmuller and Eleanor Holm offering swimming tips--this time on proper timing in breaststroke.
