Need advice on buying hand paddles

Can anyone recommend hand paddles not gloves that are great with all strokes. I am looking for a paddle that will help me build my strength and my technique.

FYI, we are reviewing paddles for the May/Jun issue of SWIMMER, including some of the ones mentioned in this thread. They are being field tested now.
