I do several stretches pointed out as no-nos in that article. I have a little routine that I always do, much of which I borrowed from Janet Evans' book. But after reading that I'm thinking I might just quit stretching altogether. :confused:

  • In other words, swim very slowly at first. By very slowly, I mean in my case just barely fast enough to keep some mild forward momentum going. This may be just my perception, but I've also noticed that when I swim very slowly it makes me more cognizant of my balance in the water, and I'll use the slow swim times to work on improving balance. Sort of like the difference between riding a bike slow or fast.
