I'll be picking two from among 200/400 IM and 200/500 free.Definitely do the 500. It's one of the few races where we get to remove that pesky age group bracketing.
I'm undecided on Nanaimo, too, Guy.
I seriously considered and it would probably be more convenient for me, but I'll get absolutely zero LCM training until after Memorial Day, so it'd probably be a waste of $$.
I wonder if the concession stand will sell poutine or back bacon? I figure Nanaimo bars are a given. Certainly the post-meet beer will be A LOT better in BC.
I'm in.
My usual 6 pack of 50/100/200 free and *** would have me swimming back to back events on both Friday and Sunday. I've done that before, and it's not a big deal at a big meet because there is generally enough rest, but I'm thinking that may give me an excuse to step out of my zone a bit and try some different stuff. The 1000 on Thursday will give me a good look at the pool, and I'm usually bottom half in the sprint free events anyway, so maybe I drop one of those. TBD.
I'm looking forward to it. I've enjoyed the heck out of each National event I've attended. Oregon is pushing hard to bring a big contingent to compete for the title.
Probably not going, for the first time since I started swimming again. I find the time difference to be a bigger problem as I get older, and it's a long way to go to swim sub-par.
Will probably swim at Federal Way in April instead.
Having said that, I will really miss the duel with Guthrie, Weissman, Dicks, et al, and I am open to convincing...:D
1) Oregon needs you
2)go on Weds and you'll be acclimated by Fri
3) last chance to wear a rubber suit.
4)you can stay in the dorm cheap(if they ever post how to get reservations)

Sat - 100 ***, 200 IM

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it.
You're gridged in 3 BR events...you know the people want it!
Seriously though..I ain't doing a 500 or 200 FR so I wish you would!!!
Absolutely no griping about event order? My mind is reeling, I'm having a little trouble being coherent but hang on...
LMAO
When does the trash talking start?
I don't know exactly, but definitely after your 50 evil fo-sho!

Perhaps I missed it but... I haven't noticed anything about swimming both the 1000 and the 1650. Some Nats allow it, some don't. Anyone know about this one?
As far as the no complaining goes... Well, I would complain about the 1650 and the 1000 always being on the same day, but I figure that there's no point since it'll never change. Heaven forbid that a sprinter be asked to swim both the 50 and 100 free on the same day, but it's okay for distance folks to swim their two major events on the same day. Guess we're tougher ;-)
