There are 2 different parking passes being sold when you register, so I think you need one of them to park on campus to avoid feeding meters or getting ticketed.
Thanks, Q! Hope to see you there!
I'm staying on campus. In my judgment the rooms look eminently livable, it's only a very short walk to the pool (no traffic issues!), and at $70/nite + parking, the price is right. The GaMasters 2010 Nats web page has a link to an online reservation system for on campus housing here.
How is parking near the Aquatic Center? Also, for Wednesday (warm-up), Thursday and Friday, will there be "parking passes" so that we don't get ticketed by the University Police?

I live in Canton, about 30-35 miles from Tech so I'll most likely be commuting in as well. If you are coming into town I would say if you are on the highway before 7am you should be find barring any major wrecks, etc. After that you are playing with fire.
I'm a morning guy anyway, I'm up at 0515 everyday to swim 0600-0730 anyway.
You'll be fine at 6:30. There is always rush hour in Atlanta but it's not that bad. After living near DC, Atlanta traffic is nothing to me now. I'll be driving from the burbs every day and will just get up early to do so. I'm used to that since my practice is at 4:45am.
Thanks. Getting there on time was my biggest concern. I've driven in Chicago traffic quite a bit - hopefully that will prepare me well!
SO EXCITED FOR MAY!!! :bliss:
While Buckhead is about 8 miles or so, give or take from GT, you couldn't pay me to drive from there to GT in rush hour. You can take Marta or a cab, however.
This. If you are driving on a weekend or before 7AM, it would be fine.
Buckhead is in Atlanta just not walking distance to GT which is what I thought most wanted. Check to see how close you are to the MARTA stations and realize they only run every 20 minutes on weekends.
I will be there all day Friday and Saturday unless Paul beats me in the 200 free, then I will be forced to skip town in shame.
Hope you bought a full fare airline ticket then

The best deal is the parking pass offered with registration but they have a limited quantity. But there is a visitor garage across the street and a block down from the pool with more than sufficient capacity.
