Parents
  • We are going solo on this one :agree: Well sorta. Pat's parents are flying down from CT to hang out with us. They came to Ft. Lauderdale too. I'm kinda bummed b/c it looks like there's a lot of family activities to do: aquarium, MLK sites, Olympic stuff, etc. Pat would absolutely have a cow if we bring the kids. He likes to focus solely on swimming at Natls, and kids are a pretty significant distraction. (I do fine with them there.) Plus our cost would go from about $1000 for both of us, to about $2,500. It's expensive to take 6 of us anywhere. Although I have my sites set on World Champs in Italy in 2012. I've started a little slush fund. I figure I need to save at least $5000. For some reason Italy is loads cheaper than Sweden, at least looking at flights right now. I'd love for my kids to go to Europe. The older 3 will remember it, Finn, not so much (he'll be 4). I think we'll have some significant things paid off by then: car, police dog, and a credit card, so that will help my case to go!
