Can anyone explain what's the purpose of swimming 3000 m free-timed with paddles on??? I've heard this from my kids (middle schoolers) when they came home from practice.
I thought it could cause more harm than good on shoulders and wrist(?)
My daughter told me her hands were numb after 3000 plus m. I've e-mailed their head coach about this, but have not heard an answer yet(a different coach was on the deck and doing this 3000m thing).
Any suggestion, comments, or concern???
