    . To dismiss their records (which has already occurred) diminishes the effort they put forth. . Their records haven't been dismissed. Records are suppose to be broken. We may not remember their exact times but they will be addressed as "former world record holder" I can't tell you want Adolph Kiefer, Johnny W., John Naber, Murray Stephens times were when they set the records, but the history books will show at somepoint they held a world record in their respective events. There should be one set of records.
