I train in briefs and hate the feel of jammers, but what should I race in? I'm deciding on my race suit for the new year. Why are jammers better? Compression, muscle vibration, drag??

Possibly all of the above?
I'm not sure how much better (if at all) jammers are than briefs. I would think the improvement would be small, but who knows. I plan to compare the two at my next trials/finals meet in the spring.
I will say this: I could definitely feel a difference after putting on a pair of jammers, just walking around. My step felt "springier" (for lack of a better word) and it wasn't just my imagination. Possibly that results in less fatigue or a faster/snappier dolphin kick? I dunno.
