I was her team mate and friend for many years and sad to report she lost a two year battle with cancer. What a classy wonderful human being. My deepest sympathy to her family. Its a great loss for USMS Swimming. She was inducted into the Swimming Hall of Fame last September.

As will we all, thanks for letting us know Bob. Her smile and enthusiasm brightened many a meet. Every moment with Margery was a special one.
A great competitor with a wonderful smile and a heart of gold.

I spent Sunday with Marguerite and her Dad Bruce at their home in Carmel. They have both lost their best friend. It's amazing to me that Margery could continue to perform (and set records!) while secretly battling cancer. You would never know it by her energy, enthusiasm, attitude, and constant upbeat spirit. It was a privilege to have been her friend and I will miss her greatly.
