The FINA Coaches association is recommending in January that all of Speedo's competitors who set world records in 2008 and 2009 have their WRs considered as "second tier WRs" thereby elevating textile WRs as more special.
The FINA Coaches are overstepping their authority. Why would they care about the WR's set in certain types of suits, unless they have some type of hidden interest in the matter? Unfortunately, since they can't and won't explain the reasons that they think that this is proper, it will end up in court.
It isn't fair to anyone who wore an Arena, Jaked or Blue 70, not just the WR holders. Are they going to disallow Masters Top Ten times too!
