Blueseventy vs. fastskin

Several months ago, I purchased a $20 ankle-length fastskin (it has a small defect in the seam, that's why it was so cheap). My intention was to use it for pool racing. Meanwhile, my Blueseventy pointzero, which I use for open water swimming, has become too big and has a small tear. My question is, is there anything about the Blueseventy that makes it preferable to the fastskin for open water? Would a fastskin work well as an open water race suit too?

  • I love my Blue Severnty Nero for ow swimming. I have a Point Zero too; the Nero is superior. The main thing with the Nero is to get it tight and be sure to grease up your arms, arm-pits, and shoulders to prevent friction problems. This suit is probably going to be illegal in the pool in 2010. I heard it will be okay for ow. Check with a more reliable souce (than me) before purchasing one. :)
