The Hill Taylor video- wow! amazing
some swimmers don't have effective streamlines or SDKs. they dive in, go too deep, stay under too long, lose momentum, & sometimes practically stop. Many move faster by getting to the surface and swimming.
Each swimmer needs to figure out their break out zone & have a kick count strategy.
I'm always impressed with how fast some people can dolphin kick underwater, but should we really be impressed by someone swimming slower underwater than they can on the surface? There's no point in stretching your underwaters if you aren't going faster than you would on the surfaece, after all.
Some swimmers can flutter kick faster than you'd think but usually not as fast as the best streamline dolphin kickers. Some people flutter kick faster than they dolphin kick.
Eddie told me Garrett Weber Gale kicked 50 LCM fr in 27 low
Shaun Jordan kicked a 50 from a dive with a board in 23 low
My best ever 50 scy flutter kick with a board from a push was 28.0.
think I've been 31 LCM
Factors that effect times are
How did you start?
from a dive or push,
from a GO or roll
What suit did you wear?
With a board or without?
SFK streamline flutter kick
How fast can the best flutter kickers go?
