False starts

Track & field will adopt our 1 false start & you are out rule starting next year. No more 1 start on the entire field & then a 2nd will put you out. It seems as if they have come over to our thoughts on the false starts making the meet longer !

This will be better for TV, that is for sure. Here's what I don't understand about watching track sprints on TV... Almost all events are on tape delay. When there is a false start, why do they need to show us the five minutes, or more, of primping and flexing after the false start and before the next start attempt?
