I wonder if FINA is going to ratify Jessica Hardy's 50M breaststroke apparent world record since it seems like either FINA or WADA is claiming she should still be under suspension. Someone mentioned to me today that athletes suspended for drugs dont get tested while they are banned. Am I the only one who thinks that is backward? If athletes come out of retirement they have to file their paperwork and wait to compete until they are open for testing for 6 (or is it 9?) months. Why can you freely dope for one whole year, and then compete the very day your suspension is over?
