Day 6 of the Swimming World Championships was set with highs and lows for the USA. Peirsol came back to take Gold and set a World record in the 200 Backstroke, with Ryan Lochte close behind him in 3rd. The reigning Gold medalist Rebecca Soni had a huge league and came up short just at the end of the breaststroke to just miss the podium. Eric Shanteau missed the Gold in the 200 Breaststroke by .o1 seconds, and the US 4x200 Men’s relay finished the day on a good note beating Russia for the Gold medal.
