And his comments were dea on and IMHO directed right at USA Swimming for not taking these event seriously. It' a joke to not have your best swimmers compete against the worlds best...and calling people names is always a personal attack.
Except of course when referring to Geek being and his chicken legs and shaved chest (which never had hair to begin with)...

Though I agree that USA Swimming needs to promote 50s like the rest of the World. Apparently, in some states they do, as evidenced by Cream Puff's latest exploits in the 50 fly.
