My daughter is planning on only swimming one event this summer (a OW swim) as she is 18 never been a member. Can anyone tell me where to find the one event membership forms needed? thanks in advance.

The entry form should state what is required. Not all OW events have one event registration. Each LMSC sets its own prices and policies.
For example, the 2.4 mile Madison (Wisconsin) Open Water Swim offers a OEVT @ $18. Big Shoulders (Illinois) requires a full USMS registration; for an Illinois registration, it's $35 or $20 after Sept. 1st. Michigan charges $14 for its OEVT.
