Anyone know if these are legal? I'm just looking to buy a cheap pair of leggings for some swims this summer until the whole tech suit mess is cleared up. I saw these for $70 @ Kiefer. I believe they are fairly old and, hence, should be approved. Anyone know for sure?

If you wish to cheat and not follow FINA rules, go for it. Just stop the whinning.

Did I say anything about going against fina rules? No. My complaint is about people wanting us to go back to briefs/jammers. I have no problem using textile suits(ie. none-b70 style suits) that waist to ankle or shoulder to ankle.
I don't undestand that logic behind whole "swim in jammers/briefs" only logic. People want to say, "let's take swimming back to a techi based sport" I always thought that swimming is still that way, along with every other sport out there....but that's just me.
