What suit to race in?

I have a question about what to do about a racing suit for this summer. My only racing suit other than the B70 is a Nike Hydra. I feel sure that B70 will eventually come out with a suit to meet FINA specifications, but meanwhile I need a suit. Has anyone had experience with any of the suits on the FINA approved list?
  • Make sure it is legal for more than the next week?!! Look at the list of approved suits first!
  • Thanks, Deano. I definitely will stick with my B70 as long as I can. I will watch for news of the results after the resubmission period.

Betsy Hi there, it may be worth me reminding the world that thankfully USMS see blueseventy innocent until proven guilty...at least through the thirty day review period. So for now, the suit is legal for masters swimming, and with the efforts over the past four days of mayhem, I can assure there will be a certified and legal suit for you to race in after the thirty day period should you choose blueseventy as your suit of choice. Thanks all Deano
  • Thanks for the comment on your LZR, Allen. How long have you used it? Everyone talks about the short time you can use it.

Hi Deano, I'm happy to read here those news. But ... do you have a good idea for our german nationals which take place in a fortnight? ;-) I guess time is running a little bit too short for us ... regarding the 30 day period :-'''( Lucky us-masters. At the very moment we don't know if we – the german masters – are allowed to compete in other suits than plublished in the FINA list. It's a utter confusion. We will make the best – anyway Monika
  • Thanks for the comment on your LZR, Allen. How long have you used it? Everyone talks about the short time you can use it. I have worn it in 4 meets-8 races and it still seems fine.I do follow the instructions to rinse it in cold water right after you swim.

Thanks all Deano Hi Deano, I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and last december, while competing in Coral Springs, I bought 2 (two) Nero - B70 to last for the whole year of 2009. Up to now I have used only one, keeping the other for the second half of 2009. Now what can I do? Will I be able to use this brand new Nero at all??? Note that I bought NERO because they were OK for the Olympic games in China - how come they are not OK now?? Thanks, Jose
  • The B-70 is a fine suit and I am sure they will continue to make compliant suits, that said I REALLY like my LZR.Does anyone know what the LZR Japanese Hybrid is,it is on the approved list.
