2010 SCY Nationals

Texas is a four-hour flight from New York. California is five. Hardly "close enough." (Though I did love Austin.) Another way to look at it is: 06 SC: Florida, reasonable enough 06 LC: Palo Alto, far 07 SC: Seattle, far 07 LC: Woodlands, somewhat far 08 SC: Austin, somewhat far 08 LC: Oregon, far 09 SC: Fresno, far 09 LC: Indy, reasonable enough So that's six meets between "reasonable" from the Northeast. I know why that is & I certainly don't think it is terrible, but I can see why someone out here would be glad to get some meets that aren't a $300-400 plane ticket again, finally. And yes, it was in Florida twice in a row and will be in Ruerto Rico next year so it is balancing out. But I think you are wrong to scoff.
