Combat stroke

I am not a competitive swimmer but I intend to swim an open water event at the end of the summer. I have been swimming the combat stroke alot and find it very comfortable. I was wondering if anybody else trains this stroke and has any comments or tips?

I watched the video, since I had no idea what the combat stroke was. Leave it to the military to invest the most efficient means of swimming while carrying gear and weapons. That being said, if you are competing in OW and this stroke feels most comfortable for you, then go for it. I suspect, if you are using this stroke as you go-to option for this event, then finishing in great health is more important then finishing quickly. I very well could be 100% incorrect on that statement, but it just doesn't look like a fast stroke option. Best of luck to you. I think it will be fine to use this, especially amongst the crowds.
