It still amazes me how world class swimmers do not have access to, or choose not to wear, the latest and greatest. I still remember that Aussie teen girl who was the favorite in the fly but got beat by 4 other girls (something like that) wearing B70s, and didn't make the Olympics.
I'm curious why Bernard went back to his old suit at this meet?
The most interesting part of that article is about Bernard reverting to his old suit for the 100 Free final at the French Nationals, then swimming .57 slower.

We don't know if this the reason to be slower than in semifinal. I believe, that WR's are not every day to make no matter with what suit.

It is ecomonic factors. They may be world class swimmers but they might be real world financial limitations. Some of the athletes still sport scholarships can get any suit they want because I am sure that their parents don't mind putting out the money for a 700 suit since little Timmy saved them 50K a year in college costs. It must be nice to have parents that are real life mastercards with no APR and no bill at the end of the month.

I found a website called jakedusa.com . It says it sells Jaked J01 swimsuits , but I don't see a purchase link anywhere on the site. Help anyone?

The site says the suits will be available at the end of July. Today is 7/16 so you've got a couple of weeks to wait. Why not sign up for the email updates offered on the site and let us know what you find out. Or you could leave your question on the comment section of the site and go direct to Jaked.
You can also learn to pronounce the name of the suit in Italian there . . .

i think jaked is pronounced to rhyme with naked. just a guess tho.
just heard from Alberto Montini, Italian masters world record holder in several breastroke events , he said it is pronounced like american JACKEt.
