...and then there's Colorado, the LMSC that comes down off of the mountain once in a while to keep everyone in check.
Took you long enough to chime in... but I knew it would happen.
And while we're smack talkin'.... a few days to get results posted? Are you kidding me? Around these parts, we're pretty embarrassed if results aren't posted within about 30 seconds of Mike Ross touching the wall.

Don't you have to wait until the rest of his heat finishes?
One way we separate the pretenders from the real out here is to check the spelling of "tequila." Pretenders often inexplicably include the second "l". Anyone who has ever, damning the consequences to be be paid over the next day or three, drained a bottle and then, hallucinating madly in an agave induced haze, teased out and gnawed triumphantly on the worm, knows how to spell tequila.
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR!!!
AhHayley, if we are having an east vs west show down, it cannot be on the west coast! Are you trying to infect us with all your damn allergens and Clemmons' mustache vegetation? Nice try. Only fair to meet in the middle, get you guys out of your comfort zone for big meets, and Clemmons shaves the white wonder. Do you actually ever travel east of Texas and AZ? Or is traveling to the right side of the country too challenging?
Hmm. Complaining about allergens in the west. Brought here years ago by easterners sent to dry out and clear up their lungs, they brought with them the very trees and bushes that caused the pulmonary distress. Brilliant. Now we in the west have to deal with that, too. Even palm trees are not native to California.
Even though we lose 3 hours to get there, check the last nationals held in the east. Plenty of westies. We go everywhere, without complaint. Even to Florida and hurricanes. Even to Savannah and hurricanes and flooding. Even to Buffalo and blackouts. From the land of shaking earth, there isn't much that concerns us, as long as the water is wet. And hopefully not green. We'll even swim indoors if necessary, since SOME folks don't know what to do in the sun and pool at the same time. Arrgh! The sun!
And I have no problems giving away 10-15 years to race someone (even a broad) head to head. It's fun.

With only eighteen swimmers from NE Masters registered to make the trek to Clovis, it would be might be tough to come against the 688 Pacific Masters swimmers who have signed up for Nationals.
In 2005, Walnut Creek took 32 competitors to Fort Lauderdale. I dont know why I mentioned this.

AGREED!!
I just don't know any of the fine mid-west short course meters meets to pitch here!
Coach Colburn - pipe in would ya???
I love traveling for swim meets!
But have to say that the furthest I have gone in the USA is Cincinnatti in the 70s!
I did travel to MD and SC for triathlon races though.
Fort, you are the finest of TRASH...
But we are on to something here together - East vs. West vs. Mid-West!
Who will be the power to draw the lines?
I nominate Paul Smith - Jimby and Coach Colburn!
That Guy played a perfect post, I wanted to highlight it for the ignorant fools who have difficulty perceiving sophisticated humor.
Thank you, thank you. (Fort, I was not being sarcastic.)
Hey Keith- I want my swims to count, so can we count places to 10th?
And is CVAS a team put together just for Nationals?
Pool question: Will the touch pads be "sticky"? Some are really slippery.
