No online results yet for the Southern Pacific meet.
  • It was a beautifully run meet, with everything going smoothly and pretty much on time. Some of the usual suspects broke the usual records. SPMA usually takes a few days to post results, and it usually posts its SCY results on this page: www.spma.net/meet_results_scy.php
  • Over 350 swimmers swam over the weekend in Mission Viejo. SPMA sent out an email that said individual results, high point and team scores will be posted later today at: mastersmvnswim.org/2009ShortCourseChamps.html
  • I'm brand new at this. My first masters meet ever was in November. From looking at the Colonies Zone and Y Nats and some others, I thought everyone running a major meet had that HiTek real time online system. You would be wrong. They pay for that service, it is not an automatic feature of every meet. The real question is why you think this thread title is either funny or necessary. It does not relate to your complaint which is lacking for want of need. You don't need the results yesterday unless you are willing to process them yourself. You can wait, patiently, like all of the grown-ups do. Insulting an entire LMSC and one of its most active large clubs is no way to act here, either. You may be new but don't have to act this way to prove it.

sheesh dude... how can you get mad at Mission for taking a day to turn around meet results? If I just ran a 3 day championship meet it'd probably take me a minute to get all the results together! What I've noticed in SPMA is that occasionally we get a super high speed meet director who can get the results out the same day (like at the Santa Clarita SCY meet in March where the results were posted to MyUSMS before I got home), but most meet results tend to hit 2-4 days after the event. I was only there Sunday, but I thought the meet was run really well. The only thing that held it up was the occasional wobbly starting block that needed adjusting. By the way... James, it was nice to meet you in person! Thanks for introducing yourself.

  • Good grief man, have a little patience. I've waited a week for some meets.
  • Ah, instant gratification. It's a wonderful thing. But on a more serious note, your comment seems a bit harsh. I can understand frustration over not being able to see the results when you would like. But maybe express that frustration in a little more positive way?

When I saw that my jest was misinterpreted as an insult, I changed the thread title and made it clear in a joking way that I was posting childishly impatient message. Your comment about waiting like the grownups was redundant and petty. I have been an active member of several sports discussion communities for years and have never before witnessed such thin-skinned sensitivity. If I post in the future I will try to keep in mind the apparent decorum around here.

Are you serious? I keep looking here, where the psych sheets were posted and it appears the results are intended to reside when available: mastersmvnswim.org/2009ShortCourseChamps.html
