"Are you sitting down? Here's the final tally on Dave Radcliff's meet results in Canada's SCM meet last weekend:", then proceeds to list new world record times for 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500 SCM meter free.
Wow!

Putting up those kind of times at that age really changes the perception about "old age" and what you can accomplish at that stage in life. I am a 25 y/o ex competitive swimmer, and I would be happy to post those times today. Mr. Radcliff better watch is back though - I wholeheartedly plan to be chasing those records of his when I hit the 70-74 age group!
All I can say is "WOW!" Those are extremely fast times. I know a lot of 25 year olds that wouldn't even come close to those times, let alone 75 year olds. Congratulations to Dave Radcliff!
Dave rocks! He's an inspiration to all in and out of the water. I am looking forward to seeing he and his wife next week when I visit my old home in Oregon.
Dave did all these world records while finishing up coordinating the February Fitness Challenge and getting ready for Nationals in Clovis.:cheerleader:
I have to agree - Dave is an amazing swimmer and one of the nicest folks you will ever get to meet. His wife Nancy is also a swimmer and a doll.
I first met Dave when he outkicked me to beat me in a 200 free - I was thrilled with the time and race that we had and shook his hand at the end of the race. A teammate shortly thereafter introduced us in the warm down lane and I've been a huge fan of his ever since.
I want to be like Dave when I grow up! He still calls me and my hubby "kids" although I have kickboards older than some of my teammates....
