I'm sure there have been plenty of threads on this before, so sorry for starting a new thread. anyways, I have a sizing question. I am 5'10 195. I am thinking of either a 28 or 30. I am much bulkier in my upper body and in the chest area. What size would you suggest?
  • Jim, Are you going to make public, for everyone to see, the suit's magical chant that you repeat as you put it on, in between sips of Red Bull? :lmao:
  • I am leaving now to meet my fate. I hope for, but fear there will be no, laughing matter for the likes of me in the pitiless waters of the George Mason University water tank... Jim,be sure to check the switch on the back.you don't want to dive in for a free race with it set on breaststroke(the suit does swim for itself.) I have an idea for an exciting relay-all 4 swimmers must wear the same single full body tech suit. After the first leg the swimmer jumps out of the water, takes off the suit(with appropriate and legal undergarmets),hands it to the next swimmer, who puts it on and dives in etc. This event will be particularly exciting for mixed relays:outtahere:

  • Okay, so we are all agreed. If I do extremely well, it is my talent. If I do extremely poorly, it's because the suit doesn't fit right. No, we are so not all agreed. If you do well, it's the suit. If you do poorly, extremely or otherwise, it's because you failed to take advantage of the suits magical properties. Good luck; get out fast and don't be waiting around for anybody.
  • press release FINA meets with suit manufacturers 23rd April 2009: blueseventy was one of several swimsuit manufacturers to meet with FINA today to witness and discuss the testing procedures and regulations outlined at the Dubai charter in February. During the meeting FINA outlined the testing procedures both for the regulations that are currently being implemented, and also the regulations expected to take effect on January 1st 2010. This included defining the tests to be used for suit buoyancy and permeability for the approval of suits for submission in March 2009 and in November 2009. All parties agreed that progress based on discussions between major manufacturers and the sport’s governing body needed to go ahead as quickly as possible given the deadlines. Therefore if design changes are needed they can be implemented quickly in order to meet the November deadlines required for 2010 approval. FINA has received over 300 submissions since March this year, including several from blueseventy. Testing is nearly complete and its worth noting that all manufacturers will be informed at the same time if their submissions has been approved or rejected. The process has taken longer than expected and while we know this may affect consumer confidence, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure all that we have 100% confidence in our suits passing the tests. Commenting on the current status, blueseventy’s CEO, Steve Nicholls comments; “I’d like to emphasise that we are in the same position as all the other swim brands. ALL manufactures have had to submit every suit that has been previously approved, as well as any new technology. We have submitted items that fall into both categories and we’re confident that there will be no problems regarding approval. All our suits have been internally tested and are well within any of the thresholds imposed by the March 31st regulations.” About blueseventy blueseventy, aptly named due to 70% of the earth being covered in water, is the world leader in triathlon and open water wetsuits and swimskins. Since 1993, the global brand has designed, tested, refined and crafted products that have instilled confidence in swimmers of all levels and carried world-class athletes to victory. • My B70 arrived at 10:30am today. The meet started at noon. No sweat... :) I LOVE IT! I warmed up in it - and stayed in the pool chatting - for almost an hour before my first race just to get a feel for it as much as I could. Strokes and turns all feel flippy and out of sink - but my times were my best. Glad I have it to test out before nationals. Been racing in FSPro suits - long and short for a year now. Loved that suit first. But now until they tell me I can't... it will be B70 NERO. Also, wore my wrinkle-less cap by Ande R.'s suggestion. SLICE! This is the first time I have ever swum in a Regional Championships without participating in relays. Weird - like decadent. Like it better with relays. I've never been one to complain about swimming them!
  • Jim, Are you going to make public, for everyone to see, the suit's magical chant that you repeat as you put it on, in between sips of Red Bull? :lmao: I think I can! I think I can! Wait. Well, I am pretty sure I can! I am pretty sure I can! Oh, hell. I don't know if I can or not. Stay tuned for more chants you can use yourself along with the vlogging dissection of all things B70 performance-related for the pot-bellied geriatric swimming community. I am hoping to have the definitive analysis sometime very soon before or after FINA makes its ruling.
