I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreaming but
There's a voice inside my head sayin,
You'll never reach it,
Every step I'm taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high
There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what?s waiting on the other side
It's the climb
The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on, cause
There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb
There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb
Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

Geek, I'm happy to disturb you

How's things going with the CremePuff Fan club.
I'm having a very hard time with Ande's choice of Hanna Montana music. Disturbing, to say the least.
All you youngsters!
For us almost-old-enough-to-think-about-retiring (but not from swimming, of course!):
Born To Be Wild

Who needs words!?!
Flight of the Valkyries
"Speed Of Sound" by Coldplay (sorry can't access YouTube at work)
How long before I get in?
Before it starts, before I begin?
How long before you decide?
Before I know what it feels like?
Where To, where do I go?
If you never try, then you'll never know.
How long do I have to climb,
Up on the side of this mountain of mine?
And so far familiarity hasn't made me want to make me lose my lunch like (say) the theme songs from M*A*S*H ...
I liked the MOVIE theme song for M*A*S*H.
When I was in high school I liked music from the rock opera "Tommy" (The Who) before meets. Specifically, the "See Me, Feel Me / Listening to You" reprise.
As a Masters swimmer - probably the same stuff I would play for long road trips. Van Halen, ZZ Top. They are responsible for some traffic tickets so they did make me go fast.
I don't know about "inspirational," but since I've been on a Sopranos kick lately, I'll go with A3's "Woke Up This Morning." A good song to play on the way to AM practice, anyway.

Does it inspire you to go pop someone? :)
Whoever thought to use that song in the Sopranos title sequnce was a genius. So effective. I've never had HBO, so watched all the Sopranos episodes on DVD. Even though I've seen that intro a hundred times I still don't fast forward through it.

Good point! Didn't Ande once say that sprinters should feel like they just want to destroy their competition? Next time I'm bringing a tire iron to the blocks.
According to Wikipedia, "series creator David Chase personally selects all of the show's music with the producer Martin Bruestle and music editor Kathryn Dayak."
I agree that it is one of the best TV theme songs, IMO right up there with Isaac Hayes' "Theme from Shaft": the song itself is good and it fits well with the show.
