I would say one longer workout. But, If you are on time constraints, do the 2 shorter workouts if you really want to do doubles. Sometimes, I do a longer workout(high 4K to 5,000) in the morning and then, a short workout(2k to 3K yards) at night. But, I maybe do a double workout once or twice a month right now.
