Just curious what people think the best competition goggles are?
Also should you wear different goggles for open water swimming?
Thanks for your advice!:)
You might get a lot of responses as goggles are probably the most individualistic choice out there for swimmers. I like the Speedo GCG Plus; I might try the Aqua Sockets when my current sets of goggles die, but these have served me well.
I wear the same goggles pool and OW. Ideally, you'd want to wear something in OW with a better field of vision, but I haven't been willing to expand my repetoire yet.
Speedo Hydrospex. They are the only ones that I can fit my big eyes into. The Swedish goggle manufacturers discriminate against us big eye people. I tried to Hydrospec Biofuse and they only seem to be good a few meets. I tried to new Baja ones and they tend to uncomfortable every so often.

For OW I find U.V. light protection a must.
For pool swimming I have switched to clear goggles so I can see, especially for diving.
Otherwise, I guess ppl wear what fits and stays on.
I am fond of the speedo vanquisher goggles. I wear them because in my old age (haha) I am too much of a baby to go back to wearing the swedes. Need that extra cushion--plus I have a pair of metallic ones for outside.
THe Hydrospex is what I use in practice. I just don't feel like a torpedo when racing in them though. I want to feel like a rocket! Hahahah It makes no difference though I'm sure but I used to use Swedes but they have been killing my eyes especially in the long events.
